Fenestrae B.V. is a privately held software development company based in the Netherlands. The company develops enterprise messaging and communications software. Fenestrae, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fenestrae B.V. based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Fenestrae, Inc. provides global technical support for all Fenestrae products and oversees sales and partner management for the Americas and the Pacific Rim. The company was founded in 1990 by Wim de Koning and Philip Weyer. Jacques van Wijk would later join the company as a programmer and rise to the position of VP Research and Development. Fenestrae's first major success was with Faxination, a fax-to-email gateway product which was the precursor of the unified messaging and unified communications industry initiatives of today. Faxination remains actively developed and maintained.. In late 2009, Fenestrae became the first fax vendor to be certified by Microsoft for use with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.
